    Hi, I just got one of these & was wondering if any one has problems with the fan being constantly on??? Is this normal?

    you may want to see if there's an updated BIOS for your notebook. I remember reading in other sections that a BIOS update fixed their fan issue.

    Also, you may want to check you power management settings. If it's on Always On, this pushes your CPU to max speed and therefore will make things hotter.

    The A85 series if I am right comes with the Celeron M processor which unfortunately does not have Speedstep power saving feature which means the cpu is at max speed all the time. This might result in the fan being almost always on.

    As VB said check for an updated BIOS. Did the fan turn off at any time that you have owned the laptop or did the fan run continuously from day 1.
