Hi,
On Newegg, this laptop is about $1900, and has spex far better than any other 18.4" laptop under 2K. My question is, what's the catch? Will it break after a year? I've never bought a Toshiba, so I'm not sure if there are any quality issues or whatnot. I just ordered an HP, but customer service so far has been a nightmare. Any advice on this laptop would be appreciated! Thanks![]()

Toshiba is much better than HP.
It's less likely to have problems. HP gets hot. -

I have a month, 20 phone calls, 2 holds, 2 misdirected shipments, and 0 laptops that disagree with you. Toshiba has good quality - they have HORRID customer service.
Don't expect it to ship until after Christmas, but if you're willing to put up with the wait, it's supposed to be a quality machine. -

Wrong. The reliability and quality of their products far surpass the more common brands such as Dell, HP, and Acer, but their customer support is absolutely terrible from what I hear.
Lucky, because surprisingly, my A300 is of such good quality that I haven't had the send it in. -
