I own the Toshiba Satellite x205-s9349 and I was thinking about signing up for netflix so that I could use their streaming video content. What I was wondering is if my laptop can play the blurays they offer onto my tv? Would it play in 1080p or would it be a 720p? It came pre-installed with an HD-DVD drive so it should be able to play HD movies, but does anyone know if I can stream a 1080p bluray movie from this laptop to my 1080p television? Or is there something im missing here (my graphics card is 8700mGT).

    thank you!!!

It can not play bluray discs, since, well, it lacks bluRay drive.
It has competing HD DVD standard drive (which lost to bluray and died since ;) )

Yeah it can't play blu rays, you can download blur ray movies from torrent websites. If you really want a blu ray drive you could get an external blu ray drive.
