I received a P305-s8825 as a graduation present and have taken it with my to school. Generally, I love it. Size is great, much nicer than having to lug around a big desktop (especially moving in up 8 flights of stairs).

However, for many many reasons, I can't stand Vista any longer. It's just to frustrating.

I tried installing XP, only to get the message that the XP drivers for my hard drive are not installed. Now obviously I don't have a floppy drive to use for them. I know I can get the drivers from the Toshiba Europe site, so that's not a problem.

I also heard that by accessing Bios, you can turn off SATA Enable which apparently fixes the problem. However when I access Bios (hitting Esc) the screen flashes for about a second and then it's gone.

Can anyone offer advice to this?

alright so I have XP installed and just about everything is working great. However, I'm still having trouble installing with sound. In device manager, it says everything is installed and working properly, but when I try to play a music file, WMP tells me there's something wrong with my sound card.

i tried downloading the driver and I get a RUNDLL error. I've tried scouring the web and nothing seems to be working.
