This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Apparently, an upgrade has already been announced to the r500 before you can really even get your hands on one.

    I noticed the toshiba site has taken down the "pre-order now for delivery in august" verbiage and when you click on the vista version it says usually ships in 5-6 weeks.

    I'm waiting on the XP 2GB-capable retail version myself (long story) so if anyone see where you can actually buy one...let me know!

    In any machine without a 7200rpm drive or SSD and a relatively slower CPU, I think it's very easy to understand why one would want XP!! ;)
