Though we don't like buying things before trying, we just ordered our first R600 - which will replace a Sony TX. Moving away from Sony was difficult - we've been very satisfied.
Toshiba was picked instead of a TT for these reasons:
1. Transflective screen, supporting park-computing.
2. 54mm Expresscard slot, supporting the Mogomouse.
3. 2.5" hard drive format, supporting more SSD choices.
4. SU9400 @ 1.4GHz vs. 9300 CPU @ 1.3GHz
5. 3 USB ports (one is double-duty USB/e-Sata)
6. Price is about the same
7. R600 is lighter than the TT!
Our plan is to immediately install XPPro, then strip as much as possible, then do some serious testing. If all goes well, we'll then shop for a suitable fast SSD. 32GB or even 16GB would be sufficient, since the unit will be used for business-only.
Any suggestions or comments will be appreciated.

Another advantage, IMO, is that display is slightly larger than the TT and with bigger pixels so it will be easier for older eyes.
Does it include 3G / WWAN for internet connectivity while in the park?
John -
To me, smaller is better. But the overall dimensions (TT/TZ/TX with 11.1" screen are about equal to the R600 with the 12" screen).
We use evdo cellphones for WWAN - I don't know if there's an adapter in the R600 or not.
R600 on order !!
