Hi, I'm new to these forums and so far have found all the information quite useful :). But anyways, as I start my lappy up this morning I got a disturbing message about some certain flash drivers. It showed up as this:

    "Runtime Error!

    Program c:\ProgramFiles\Toshiba\FlashCards\TCrdMain.exe

    R6025
    -pure vitual function call"

Doing a bit of research I found that this is a problem with the nifty transparent function icons that show up on the top of your screen when you either scroll over them with your cursor and/or hit the function key on your laptop keyboard. Now, I don't need these, but I sure would like to fix the problem rather than ignore it. However, the quick fix for anyone that just wants the error message to go away is to run msconfig and turn off "Toshiba Flash Cards" in the Startup tab. Any help on the issue would be appreciated =).

I'm getting the exact same error, and I think I now know what is causing this. In a brand new Toshiba A215-S7422 laptop, in standard user accounts (not in admin acounts), I disabled the aero interface and set them up for a clasic interface. This was done because the aero interface is such a performance dog. With aero turned off, I get this error. With aero turned back on, it goes away. Since this "Flash Cards" utility is only for the TRANSPARENT pull-downs for the function keys, it appears that when you disable the aero interface, you lose the transparency drivers that TCrdMain.exe requires.

Now the hard part. How do you get through to anyone at Toshiba that will even listen to you. They wanted me to completely reformat the hard drive to bring it back to factory specs (this, on a one day old machine).

I know the bug is in their utility, but I can't even explain the bug to someone there.
