going to max her out with 8gb, but wondering what manufacturer people recommend for aftermarket memory upgrades?

i'm taken with crucial, are they still as reputable as they used to be?

    any input much appreciated!

    cheers

I usually buy whatever is available at the best price - there's no significant difference in performance. You may also want to consider ease of returning any RAM which proves to be bad.

However, before you go to 8GB be forewarned that, if you use hibernation a lot (which I do) then the hibernation / resume times will increase significantly if you've had the computer running for several days without a reboot.
