I am looking for a computer that has long battery life and a good display. I am considering the Toshiba R835 and R845. I was wondering if people could comment on these two models; including the difference in screen quality.

Or is there something else I should be considering?

If battery life is a must have for you, and you don't need a DVD drive, also consider the Z830 which comes out this month.

Both the r835 and r845 have a glossy display [edit: actually I remember a member saying the Tecra had a matte display]. HOWEVER, if you order the r8 45 from Toshiba, you can upgrade to a 1600x900p screen; r8 35 only has 1366x768p [ Toshiba Direct | Buy Laptop Computer Systems and Accessories ]
As for viewing angles, hopefully an owner can chime in.

Also, the new Z830 will have a matte screen [anti-reflective], but will only be 1366x768. Again, this model will come out any time now.

    Good luck
