I just got a Portege R835-P56x and have some upgrade questions I have not found ans. for.
    1. Wi-Fi the comp comes with is Intel 1000 wifi card (single band)
I have an Intel 6200 dual band card. can I upgrade with this?
I would prefer to upgrade to Intel 6230 (wifi/bluetooth). Has anyone tried this?

    2. What would be the possibility of replacing the DVD with bluray?

    Thanks for your help.

    Steve

    1. Yes, I replaced it with 6230 and got bluetooth. The guides are posted in the previous post.
    2. A 9.5 mm one yes most likely.

Thanks for the info. Sounds great. Is ebay a good source for the bluray drives? any mfg. recommended or are they pretty much the same as long as 9.5.mm?
    Thanks again.
