Hey everyone right now I am really annoyed and would like your help.

A week or so ago the left speaker on my Toshiba P745 began crackling. I decided to uninstall the realtek driver yesterday and reinstall it. However, since reinstalling it the audio is so low I can barely hear anything out of the speakers. I then decided to download the driver directly from the toshiba website. However, after the files extract setup does not start.

Can anyone advise me on what to do. My laptop currently has no audio since no driver is installed.

Ok so I went to device manager and under sound selected scan for hardware changes and the driver reinstalled. However, the audio is still very low and nothing in comparison to the awesome audio I used to experience before. I am at my wits end here guys. Any advice would be appreciated thanks.

Not sure how to advise on this issue.
One thing worth checking is the master volume on the Windows Media Player; sometimes that can cause issues.

    Good luck

It could be a possible hardware malfunction too. I've seen that happen before when the correct Toshiba drivers would not install.

You can always go the USB audio route to get sound working again.

Hi everyone just thought I would say that I eventually got the driver to reinstall correctly through device manager. The crackling from the left speaker has been greatly reduced.

    Thanks again for your replies.
