    Hello Friends,
I am new to Notebook World.i want to purchase a Notebook as desktop replacement. My Budget is around 1200 USD.

In 15" category i figured out Satellite M45-S269 and Tecra A4-S313 ...both have almost similar features...But i read somewhere TECRAs have better build quality as compared to Satellite.??
    What should I choose?

In 14" I dont know why Toshiba is offering 333MHZ Dram in Tecra A5 while the processor FSB is 533MHZ???
While Satellite M55-S329 could be a good choice for 14" with same features as 15"....

    What do u guys suggest...

Also has anybody tried configuring SatelliteR10-840TD..Pay $200 more get slow HDD(4200 rpm) 400MHZ FSb processor but get Tablet edition...howz the experince????

They are both good models, but the one glaring downfall of them both as I see them are they both have user adjustable video. If you aren't into graphics intensive games, I would recommend the Tectra because they do have a reputation for being a little more reliable than Satellites. If you need a gaming machine, I would recommend the Satellite M40, it's the little brother to the machine I just bought, the M60, which is basically the same thing as the M40 but in a 17" screen, I have a 128 MB ATI Radeon X600 video card and I like it quite well. Hope this helps!
