Hi everyone, This is my first post here. I've currently got a Gateway desktop computer and flatscreen monitor I'm really happy with, but I'm thinking of getting a wireless laptop before Christmas and am leaning toward the Toshiba brandname. Is there a Toshiba model I can use wirelessly to record from tv to DVD?

Go ahead and buy any laptop you want because you actually use aftermarket hardware to do what you're talking about. Its called a TV tuner... Basically what it does is it has a video input plug (the video input would be a wire coming from your TV) and records the show to your hard drive, then you go ahead and burn the DVD with some software that comes with the laptop. Think of it as something similar to TiVo

This is what a TV tuner looks like:

EDIT- I just saw that you asked if theres any computer that can do it "wirelessly". The answer is I've never seen one but its possible that its out there. Just keep in mind that anything done wirelessly is consiberably slower than something thats not wireless.

Oh, and not to be a jerk on your first post but most people don't like it if you use large, bold, red font ;)

Thanks for the info. It's just that red's my favorite color. I thought everyone liked it. You have to admit, it grabs your attention. P.S.: Do any laptops have the TV tuner built in so I wouldn't have to buy it aftermarket?
