I have a 2 month old Toshiba Qosmio F55 and I am trying to make use the Toshiba Recovery Disk Creator program to make the disks, but it keeps giving me the error "No HDD recovery area!" The laptop still has the original hard drive and it has NOT been formatted, etc. and I can see that there is a hidden partition. Anyone know how to resolve this ?? Thanks for any info. God Bless :)

Nevemind was able to resolve it. Called Toshiba support and they told me that my laptop should have come with a recovery DVD. Told them mine did not, so they will be sending me a replacement one for free. I hope this helps anyone else. God Bless :)

You might want to call Toshiba Support and ask them. If they are suppose to ship with them and yours did not come with it, then have them send you one for free as they are doing with me. I hope this helps. God Bless :)

I've already tried to ask for a recovery disk and Toshiba says that it's on my hardrive and that they don't give out recovery disks for the x305. We'll at least that's what that particular service rep told me. So I just went out and spent 12 bucks on dvdrs so I made the back ups. Let me know what they tell you.

alright, but it seem pretty stupid to put it on the hard drive. my second x300 had an error and i couldnt even startup vista, never mind make it to the recovery disk program.

we spend 1900$ CAD (well i did) and it doesnt even come with any cd's or a blueray player. cheap A$$'$
