So I finally found a way to totally screw up my Sli1i was installing ArcGIS on my computer and it doesnt want to work with Vista so i decided it was a good idea to uninstall and mess with the registry settings. now everything has gone to hell so i am going to reformat and i have a two questions.... first i am wondering if i can reformat only my 1st hard drive (the one with vista and all of my apps) because i have all of my media files on the second hard drive so i dont want to loose that stuff. and second i am wondering if it is possible to do a clean vista install (dont want the bloatware) with the toshiba recovery disk or if i should be looking into a program such as nlite... any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

Yes, you can only format your one drive.
No, you can't do a clean install using the recovery discs, you can however do a clean install if you have an upgrade/install/whatever disc. Check out this for more info, http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=120228 -
