Hey folks, I've been stressing over what kind of laptop I should get for about 2 months now, going from 18" full blown desktop replacement, down to a thin-&-light with external monitor and keyboard. Anyway, I've FINALLY narrowed it down to two options. Both are refurbished models from RadioShack (both $625 or somewhere really close to it.)

The first one, I didn't even think to get the model number because I was in a hurry.. its a 17" Toshiba with 3 GB Ram and I believe a 320GB harddrive, the usual grey with black keys... The other is a 14 inch M305. 4 GB ram, 320GB hard drive.

I first saw the M305 at wal-mart, and it has the exact same build as RS. The only difference is that WM wants right at 700 for it. I had concerns before because I thought the keys looked cheap, but since I actually got to test it out today, the keys felt sturdy and not as cheap as I thought.

Anyway, for that price, is Toshiba a good brand? I need something soon, for work purposes, and I figured I could get something to last a year or two, and then buy something REAL nice (I still have dreams for that maxed out HDX18)
