    Hi,

I have a Tecra A9 series laptop running xp pro 32bit and am trying to remove the volume onscreen indicator. The laptop has a volume wheel placed on the edge closest to the user and if it is in the lap, the volume wheel gets tapped all the time.

Every time it is tapped, the volume on screen indicator pops up which becomes VERY annoying.

I've been trying to find a way to change/edit this for a while and can't find anything conclusive. I have been able to edit some .dll and .exe files to alter the image a bit (Including deleting some layers), but this did not completely solve my problem.

I guess my questions are the following:
    1. Is there a way to turn off the on screen display only for the volume indication?
    2. Is there a way to disable the scroll wheel hotkey for changing the volume, keeping all other hotkeys intact?
    3. Is there a way to disable the scroll wheel hotkey and use a different means of changing the volume. I've found plenty of other utilities to change the laptop volume that allow different variations of hotkeys which I would like to use instead of the scroll wheel.

Let me know if any other information is needed.

Any suggestions would be appreciated :)
