Sorry I have to re-make this thread because the original thread was closed by false accusation and I have no way to PM the mod/admin about it.

Anyway the original thread is here: http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=303380
I already mention in the original thread that I KNOW the password as I am still using that laptop everyday.

Here is the proof. I just took these 3 pictures few minutes ago.

First one shows that its asks for HDD password:

Second one shows password was entered correctly. I then press ESC and F1 to enter BIOS:

Third one shows the BIOS but there is NO option to enter, alter or remove HDD password at all!

What Greg was saying about changing or removing HDD password in the BIOS is what I remember too. But now that option is magically gone and I have no clue why.

Please take time to read instead of quickly accusing others.

My apology for re-making this thread but I have no other option.

    Greg,

Don't worry about that. I understand your decision as I see quite a few threads like that here when doing a search before making my own thread.

I am gonna edit the first post to add the question portion to it. Hopefully someone will have solution for me.

    No it's not there either.

I am now sitting in front of a Qosmio F10 laptop and that HDD password option is NOT in the BIOS too. I could setup HDD password for this laptop before but now I can't!

HDD password function disappear automatically after certain months?

i dont know much about this, but if you put it back into the original computer (as in the original hd bay), can you format it or anything like that?

when you put a password on it, did you have to type the hd password everytime you booted up the computer in the bios?

as i said before, i dont know much about it, but cant your format the drive since you know the password.
