Hi. I have a Toshiba Satellite that seems to have something stuck under one of the keys that is causing it to make only intermittent contact.

It's probably a bread crumb or something similar. I have tried to dislodge it by turning it in different directions and shaking it, tapping it, and trying to blow air under it. None of this has worked.

I would like to remove the key cap and clean out whatever is causing the problem. But I am not sure how to do that.

I assume that if I lift and pry hard enough, it would come off, but would I be damaging anything in the process?

What is the best way to go about this?

Is it possible to access the keyboard from the bottom panel somehow, or in some other way, that would allow me to dust and clean out the whole thing?

This has happened before, but it's always been possible to either shake the crumbs out or "smash" them until the key worked all the time as expected. But this time, under the 7 key, it's not responding to that kind of shock therapy.

If it matters, the exact model is the Satellite L305-S5918.

All information and ideas will be appreciated.

    Thank you.
