    Hey there ,

Question >> Can you perform a repair or recovery with a preinstall system like my Toshiba ? I only have a product recovery disk . I need to do such if possible because my computer wouldn't load windows xp , I can't even load in safe mode . It just goes in a reboot cycle .

    TIA

I dont think you can repair; i think you can only repair with something like an OEM disc. I think your only option is to reinstall.

If your recovery disc is for winxp than you can do a system recovery. For vista you have to do a clean install (format too).

you should be able to borrow a normal install disc and attemp a repair. I don't think you can do if from the Restore CD.

You are better off with a clean (ie non OEM) install anyway. Just get the drivers and use your product key to register
