I let a friend borrow my laptop and the cover was accidently and significantly scratched. He is will to pay for the replacement, however, does anyone know how the display is removed. There is no information on the website. I am used to Dell computers that have complete diagrams. Thanks in advance.

If your friend is willing to pay for the replacement, why not have Toshiba do the replacement for you? But in the event that you want to go the "do-it-yourself" way, it shouldn't be too difficult.
For the M30/M35 series, it's a matter of taking the screws off of the front bezel, located under the rubber pads. 4 screws on top and 2 on the bottom corners. The front bezel may be stuck to the LCD itself with double-sided tape. It just requires a bit of force and nerves of steel to rip the front bezel off without damaging the bezel or LCD. You may also need to take the hinge caps off (should just pop off). Remove the LCD & all connected hardware (WLAN antenna, video cable, etc...) and then unscrew the back cover from the hinges and swap.
Now this is just a rough guide on how to remove it, but it's really recommended to leave it to people that know how to do it. One wrong move and you can crack your LCD and that'll cost you an arm and a leg to replace (cracked LCD's are never covered under warranty). If you're gonna try, do at your own risk.

Thanks for the reply. I think I will have someone else do it.
