Is the resolution of the 16-inch Satellite A660 really only 1366x768? That's pretty awful for a 16-inch screen. Is there any way around that? Are there certain pre-built models that might have a better resolution or is that as good as it gets for the Satellite A660?

I'm thinking about buying it, but a screen with that low of a resolution might prevent me from doing so!

I have a 16" Tosh with that screen resolution and I hate it. I regret the purchase even though the laptop looks nice and the screen is real bright.

Shucks. The nice look of the laptop and the bright screen were what drew me to it as well (also the low price and the great speakers). But according to Toshiba website, the 14-inch and the 16-inch have the same resolution. That's terrible. Oh well. Better get the Sony VAIO F instead.

IMO a 14" or 13.3" laptop looks great at that resolution. I have a Dell Vostro V13 and any higher resolution and it would be hard to see the text. So if you do come across a 13.3" or 14" Tosh you like, have a look because the resolution is very sharp for that size. :)
