I have just bought it 2 weeks ago.
So far I am satisfied with it.
It runs very fast as expected with dual core and 1GB memory.
I "test" the video card using game NFS Underground 2 with 800x600 with highest quality, the game run smoothly.
But if I use 1024x768 resolution, it get slow.

I think the reason why it is very cheap is because it is an old model.
1 week after I bought the laptop, it is gone from the Netherlands market.

    But I do have 2 "complaints" :
    1. The sound of the fan is notice-able. I don't know whether it's normal or not. But compared to another Toshiba laptop with Centrino processor, the sound is louder.
    2. The screen is nice and sharp, as expected by a TruBrite screen. However, if the standard grey windows of windows XP is shown, the grey texture is not very smooth. I don't know whether it is normal for a TruBrite screen.

in Summary, if the 2 complaints that I have turn out to be normal, I give 9 out of 10 points

    Hope it helps,

By the way, I have also some problem with the sound card.
The mic input is not very nice compared to my old Acer laptop (TM 240)
I used the mic for Voip application. (Voipbuster, etc)

The driver version is: Realtek HD R1.28 (5.10.5200)
(the version installed in my laptop is already the same as the newest on the Toshiba support webpage).
I tried myself downloading the newest Realtek HD driver (R1.57) but it produced more problem.
When my call using Voip was connected, there seems to be a loud noise (possibly feedback?).
I have already tried to lower the mic volume input and even mute it, but the noise still there.
So I reverted back to R1.28.

Has someone have any suggestion on it?
Is it a hardware problem with my laptop ? :(
Is there any software that I can use to enhance the mic input level
(I already use Windows XP Microphone Boost utility, but still the sound is not satisfying enough).

Thank you very much in advance.

    Kind Regards,
