I Hear a very faint sound comming from my laptop, it sounds like somthing is revving up, This occurs every few seconds, Even when my computer is idle, I Checked CPUZ and when it does that....The amount of Voltage the CPU Uses goes up to 1.325V. Ive never noticed it before.. Any ideas?

Side note: My Core speed fluctuates alot, Like its a 2.5ghz CPU and it stays at 1.1ghz alot, Is it normal for that to happen? It seems as though it likes to do this when Idle or when CPU usage is below 40-50%. Is this normal?

RMclock should allow you to control the voltage going to the processor manually, google it.

Otherwise are you sure its not the Hard disk or Disk drive?

I had that problem before too, just ease off of the clutch, and the reving sound should go away.
