I'm running XP, 169.01/169.09 graphics etc. No overclocking, just running normal apps, games occasionally.

According to Speedfan, my CPU's are in the 30 deg C range most of the time, but my graphics cars are always around 63 deg C (via speedfan and ntune). I turned off SLI, and slowed the graphics core speeds to the lowest setting (118/175), and it still barely drops below 60 deg C

Anyway, is this normal???? Seems awefully hot on the graphics side.

    Thanks

Yes it is normal, mine idle at around 55c to 63c depending on ambient temperature. Be77solo also has around the same temps and under load they can go as high as the 80's to 90's although mine have not gone above 80c yet but be77solo has seen his go into the 90's which is kinda high, but the cards are cramped into a very small space so they will be on the hot side all the time.

I want to know at what temperature is my laptop running, where the air coming out of the vent on the right side(dvd side) will burn my fingers, and touching underneathe the vent will burn even faster.

I like to think of it as a "mouse warmer" (I use an external mouse), sort of like seat heaters in a car.

I'm pretty sure that is the graphics cooler. Like I said, mine measure 63 deg C (145 deg F) via the Nvidia monitor and Speedfan.

Yep, that's the exhaust for the GPU's on that side, which get quite toasty... 90C toasty, as in almost boiling water hot ha.... All the temps listed here match mine, so your's is fine.... that idle CPU temp though mentioned by the original poster seems a bit low, my 2 cores idle at aroun 46-48, but the gpu's idles around 60ish
