Allright, i gota x205-sli3.. The only thing ive done was install a hotfix i found here. (Windows6.0-KB940105-x86) to be exact. I then downloaded the nVidia 169.12 driver (169.12_forceware_winvista_32bit_english_beta). had it put the files into c:\NVIDIA\WinVista\169.12\English. I then put the modded inf and cat files for the 169.12. Whenever i open the setup, it will show the nVidia logo, then open up a black background with a bunch of nVidia logos and a popup error message will open and tell me either
A: Setup detected that the operating system in use is not Windows Vista [32-bit].This setup program and its associated drivers are designed to run only on Windows Vista[32-bit].The installation will be terminated.

    -or-
B: sometimes it will say i dont have compatible somethings...

i cant get the 2nd one come up again.... but any ideas?

Man I am not really sure but I have attached a inf file that should work. I modified it to work with the 169.12 drivers and have used it before and it worked for me on my sli1, and Good Luck!!.

Do you have a limit at rapidshare, I see different subscriptions with monthly size limits?

I am not 100% sure how rapidshare works, but when you do a free file download it limits you how often you can download a free file again but not sure how long that time is that you have to wait.

your'e right I saw something like that, but i forget what it says. just found a mod for Crysis, it enhances the effects when you shoot someone, more realistic blood and body physics. A site posted them, but had to take them down the next day. I guess the makers of the game complained. I'll mess with them tomorrow.

what is the difference between the 169.09 and 169.12 Drivers? Is one for vista and one for xp. Or is one for 32 bit while the other is 64 or what.
I got a brand new SLi-3 out of the box, i cant download the 169.09 for some reason, and the 169.12 does not work....Why do the great computer gods hate me...?

Yes!!!! activate windows. the windows 169.12 is to fix a bug in the new 8800 line of Nvidia cards so you don't need it.

To tell if it's activated, go to the systems page under control panel, and look at the bottom... it'll either say that it's activated, or will tell you how many days you've got left to do it...

As for the drivers, I don't have a direct link, but I have seen sevarl places around here that have a link, or you could go about modifying the Toshiba inf as posted in a few places. Good luck, sucks with laptopvideo2go being down, but between this place and the games/softare part of the forum, you should find a working link

Wow you must be upset because your spelling is a mess! I would switch to the 169.09 driver. 169.12 is for a minor bug for the 8800.

well, im having somebody download the drivers ( i said what the hell, try em all- so they are putting 169.09 32 and 64bt versions, and 169.12 32 and 64 bit versions, and sending them to me on a dvd.... along with Serj Tankians Empty Walls video).. Hopefully it will work... i got all the drivers, and the modified inf and cat files from 77solo.. now just to make sure, you put the new files into the driver folder, where they would have to replace the old ones and thats it right? or is there anythin else

Man Good luck, but all you do is copy the modified inf and cat files into the drivers folder and install the drivers.

I think those are mostly updates for the 8800M cards that were just released by nvidia.

That is strange, cause I just changed from Vista 64bit (some of my appz were not compatible with vista 64bit :(  ) to 32bit and used the file I uploaded for you to use and the drivers installed on my laptop with no problems, I am typing this on my laptop that I just finished installing a clean copy of vista 32bit onto it.
