I want to upgrade from the 64GB generic ssd that came with my X505-898.

1] Has anyone else upgraded their SSD? And, if so which SSD did you pick?

2] When I do get the new drive can I simply drop it in, and use the back up disks, I created to format it?

    Thanks for any replies

i am in the process of getting a ssd, im trying to find a decent performance ssd for a good price. things to take into consideration is the size and the both read and right mbps speeds.

some of the lower end ssd models are going to be either cheaper becuase its less gb or cheaper because of lesser performance. due to both those facts i have been holing out for a good sale but yet to find one.

i have a local microcenter and i am tempted to get this one Micro Center - Micro Center 64GB SATA II 3.0Gb/s 2.5" G2 Series Solid State Drive (SSD) With SandForce 1222 Controller 122663 but havent pulled the trigger yet. its a decent size 64gb and read speeds up to 280mbps and write speeds up to 270mbps so the performance is there. obviously the more you spend the beter performance and bigger drive but that is all up to you.
