make sure both of the battery locks (little slider button) are in the lock position. only one is spring latch type, so the other one is very easy to move to the unlock position. chek that....i have put a piece of tape on mine as it used to make the battery very loose when i put it on my lap, or on top of something.

The first thing I said when I opened my A135- was, "They should didn't try to make the battery fit tight." I have held many other laptops and none of them had a battery that was "locked in" that I can jiggle up and down. I was going to add tape to the battery till it gets tight. :)

    Its normal!
I mean maybe its to let some air through or something, so that battery doesnt get so hot.
A little clearance is ok. Mine has it aswel.
But it hasnt cut out on me!
    So its ok.. I guess.

I have an A100-147 and the battery fit is absolutely perfect and tight to the chassis when locked. There is no clearance around the battery and no movement at all.
