Hello, I was looking into Toshiba's Satellite A40-1LR REF.
Please bear with me, I'm a newb with notebooks.
And I was wondering what Satelite means.

    Thanks.

Satellite is a model name. Kind of like a car... you have a manufacturer, who has several models of cars, and then each model has some variations to it.

I see, I was thinking that these laptops used satellites or actually had something to do with them.

The A40-1LR REF does not have a fingerprint reader right?

    Fingerprint reader is overrated.
