    Hello,

I am noticing something with my Satellite A100-237 screen. The bottom left and right corners seem darker than the rest of the display. I'm not sure why this happened and I've only had the laptop for 3 months! Does anyone has similar problems? Does this mean my LCD is ruined? This has only started to happen recently and the top corners are fine.

I need someone's advice on what the problem may be and if this is a normal thing or if I should get it fixed under warranty?

    Thanks.

Do you see this effect only on darker backgrounds? If it is so, it's normal light leakage. ;)

No, actually it's clearer on light backgrounds. It's a darkening of the bottom corners for some reason, the right one more than the left. I think something happened to the screen but i'm not sure what it is, so I'm wondering if someone can shed some light.

    Thanks.

That is normal. Well not toaly normal. I have noticed that some models, especially the M45 will do this. It just depends on the LCD model/manfacture. If you push Toshiba really hard they may replace it for you, but its unlikely.

So it's a design flaw, not something I did? I was wondering because I treat my laptop pretty well generally . I don't think it's a big deal but I might want to get it replaced because it sucks to have a flaw in something so new.

Thanks for your replies they were very helpful :).
