    Hi,

Just today, I opened up my 2 year old laptop to clean up the dust that's been overheating it (goes up to 95C when running games). Quite a hassle, thought I'd break the thing before I could clean it up.

Anyways, I plugged everything back in, and everything seemed to work fine, except the brightness control using the Fn keys. I tried the other Fn hotkeys - ie: standby, hibernation, mute, lock touch pad, etc - they all work, but when I tried the brightness, nothing happens. I also tried running the laptop with battery only to see if the screen will get darker because of the powersaving mode, but it won't. So I'm not sure what's happening, thought it might be the video cable not connected correctly, but I'm seeing things fine on my monitor.

It worked fine before I dismantled the thing, so I don't think it's a software problem. Any help?

    Thanks
