Hey guys. I've been having a problem with my laptop (Satellite A105-S4384, running Windows XP) for awhile, but it has been getting worse. The problem I am having is that when I return from hibernation, it lets me see the desktop for a split second and then it goes back into hibernation. Then, I have to press the power button again and then it will work just fine.

I am officially lost on what the problem could be. Do you guys have any ideas?

If you have more than 1Gb of ram, then it could be the problem described here:

    http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=909095

Although that doesn't describe your problem exactly, i've seen many hibernation and standby issues fixed with this hotfix. Good luck.

A friend recommended using ccleaner and the problem may have stopped. I have tried to recreate the problem since using cclearner and it has been working fine so far.

I'll install this hotfix if the problem returns. Thanks for your help.
