The following is an email that I tried sending Toshiba, but their website conveniently has a defective drop down menu for pick a subject which is required.....any suggestions?

A few months ago, we bought three Toshiba Satellite A135-S7404 laptops for our family. Last month one of the laptops' mouse stopped working and then the computer died all together where you can't turn it on (plugged in or not) in order to do a reboot.

Now the 2nd one which was only taken out of its package on Christmas has started to do the same thing where it begins to flicker with several colors. In the middle of being online, it goes to a crash dump screen, saying it has found an error. We are in the proces of trying to reboot it but it is completely frozen, and there's quite a bit of extra ram that we put in it.

Honestly, these laptops have been nothing but a HUGE hasl and waste of our money. We've spent about $1500.00 for a computer that lasts a matter of weeks??

When we call tech service, it's the same old answer....try't even rebooting. Well, we cant even get to that point. No, there aren't any extra programs that we have downloaded that could be causing this.

We are very very disappointed and aggravated. When we buy a computer, we expect it to wok properly. What can we do in order to either get our oney back or get a new computer? No we don't have extra warranties because when you buy something completely new, you don't expect it to break in a couple of months, let alone weeks.

If this is not reaching the correct person, please forward it to a manager or whomever can remedy this. Toshiba is starting to leave a bad taste in our mouths and we will NEVER buy from this company again and will advise everyone we know to do the same.

    Please reply

    Thank you.

You said you put more RAM in it, it could be incompatible or just faulty (or loose for that matter). If that doesn't solve it, call Toshiba, they've been very good to me.

Thank you both for replying. On on eof them, turning the power button does nothing. On the other, it tends to flicker and sometimes crashes.

We checked the RAM and it should be ok. We called Toshiba and said that we'd like to speak to a manager, but they are only there on weekdays, so we'll have to give them another call.

    Thanks again!
