This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    As there's no such thread, answers to some questions are to be found across dozens of threads not solely dedicated to the notebook family in question I wanted to ask reviewers/owners how well do the rigs work in everyday life?

    I'm quite interested in these aspects:
    -> performance tests - both synthetic over-all tests (PCMark, SysMark, 3DMark06) and in-game tests in games such as DMoMM, SCCT/SCDA, TES4O, FEAR, Medieval2TW, SupremeCommander...
    -> build quality, quality of buil-in devices, their usability
    -> problems w/ hardware/software/drivers
    -> XP and linux compatibility
    -> battery life (power, battery-saver, medium modes)
    -> overclockability

    Thx to anyone able to fill us with information concerning these areas or other as well.
