My CPUs on my Toshiba are around 60 degrees C. I usually have laptop on high performance all the time. When I do that, the laptop shuts off without warning. I noticed the temps were over 70C. I immediately switched to balanced power and the temps drop to around 60C.

I went to irisvista and took apart my computer. Not completely, but I did blow it out a little. I am thinking that I may need to do a complete disassemble and redo the heatsink with artic silver.

Is it bad to run the laptop in high performance all the time or is this high temp due to my laptop needing a cleaning? My hard drive is doing much better at 39C.

I am using CPUID to gauge temps.

Any additional advice would be great. thanks!
