Well, i tried to update to the latest bios for this computer (1.9 I believe). I did it thru windows and while it was flashing, about half way down it just went blank like the power went out. Now when I turn it on, its just a blank screen with the power and plug leds on. The cd drive would spin for a few sec but would slow down and stop. I have two questions about this:

first, would toshiba fix this under warranty? I believe I have one yr left
2nd, Ive been reading about the crisis recovery disk to restore it but im still waiting for my usb floppy drive to arive so I cannot do testing on it. Anyone know the hotkey combination to load from the usb floppy? I read to press the Fn + B or the Wn + B- anyone know exactly what to press for the A215 series?

Try to contact Toshiba, most like you must pain for it if you want to fix it. But Call Toshiba service and talk with them. Not quite sure what you can do a with floppy disk...

FN+B did not work, however FN+F did, but it did not seem to revive the computer.
