Hi,
it's my first thread here. My laptop can't read DVDs anymore. I have googled and search for similar problem with my model of laptop wich is a Satellite A30 PSA33C-154M4 (you can check specs here : http://209.167.114.38/support/TechSupport/TSBs/ALL/MissedProductContents/-TSB00002M.htm
Ok, more details. In the beginning I was able to play DVD movies and read DVD content with no problem. After I have formated my computer I was unable completely to read DVD movies (the drives is constantly searching for something...) and I have a lot of problem reading content of any DVD-R.
For example, I have a burned DVD in my drive right now. I can double click on the dvd icon and it opens fine and displays all the folders. But if i try to read a file i receive an error saying that perhaps the CD is unclean, if I try to copy content on my HD I receive an error like this
![]()
However I can read, copy, burn and do anything I want with CDs and CD-RW.
Also I formatted many times. It's as if I'm not installing some kind of driver that will let me read from DVD...
thanks

My guess is it's a driver issue. Have you downloaded the latest driver from Toshiba?

Yes, I actually downloaded every drivers from toshiba formy laptop. There's not really a driver in the list for the DVD reader it self, it seems like plug and play....
