    Wondering if anyone has one of these? This is the Canadian version of the A500 - there are only two versions on the toshiba.ca site, and this is the slightly higher end one. Specs are here.

    This seems to have all the features I'm looking for and a few bonuses (backlit keyboard, separate number pad, hardware volume controls, multi-touch touchpad, sleep and charge USB port, dedicated graphics, harmon-kardon speakers, 4G memory and 500G HD).

    On reviews of similar models in other countries I've seen reference to:
    - slot-load dvd
    - tv tuner
    - bluetooth

    Anyone know if this are included in the Canadian version? Toshiba site doens't mention them.

    Any other comments on this model?

    I'm coming from a 17" HP Pavilion (terrible longevity - within 16 months, the hard drive failed, the motherboard failed, and the AC jack failed - first two under warranty, the third not). I use it mainly for reading text (not video) so I'm thinking the slightly lower resolution will work for me, and although the processor is only 2G it's a P7350 which seems good and I'm sure will be plenty for my needs (mainly productivity, music, a little video and photo editing, no gaming).
