    Hi

I have a Toshiba Satellite A65-S1362 Notebook computer with Intel Celeron D Processor 325 2.53 GHz Clock speed.

(I think this is 1.5 to 2 years old now)

The problem I am facing is --> since last 2 months my laptop computer is over heating at top of the Function Keys F7, F8... F12. That area. Hope you all understood the area on the top of the Notebook.

Due to the over heating problems after I work for 1 or 2 hours the system is suddenly getting TURNED OFF.

Can any one tell me what could be the probelm. I have not taken any maintenance contract. So where can I take the Notebook for checking or inspection.

Looking eagerly for your valuble inputs and help.

    Thanks
    BHRS

Sounds like your experiencing overheating problems - where are you using your notebook. In addition I also suggest downloading a mobile benchmark software (such as MobileMeter) so you can monitor your internal temp.

Thanks Mr. xAMDvsIntelx for replying so quickly.

I can download that s/w. But what is the root cause for this over heating problem and how can I fix that?

    I downloaded Mobile Meter

That s/w is showing my system temparature as 83 degrees centigrade & HDD temparature as 49 degrees Centigrade!!

Now what does that mean? I think both these temparatures are too high!!!

Please advise me & help me!!

Recently I added additonal 256 MB RAM. Is this could be the reason for this excess heat????

Those temps. are pretty high. I don't think that the RAM is the root of the problem - I believe that there is a build-up of dust inside your notebook that has to be cleaned out to ensure your notebook doesn't overheat - check our "How to Dissasemble Toshiba Notebooks" thead here in the Toshiba forum on how to dissasmeble and clean out your notebook.
