Ever since I installed MS Intellipoint Software my touchpad adjustments have disappeared. Instead of all the touchpad settings that used to exist in the mouse control area I'm now limited to Touchpad On/Off only.

I use the mouse when in "desktop" mode but like to have access to the touchpad when I'm "wandering". Any idea how to restore these functions short of uninstalling the MS mouse software?

    Hank :)

Just a quick follow up on this post. After a careful check I discovered that in addition to the USB mouse, I had also installed a non-existent PS2 mouse. This had apparently displaced the touchpad driver info.

I uninstalled this "phantom" mouse after which I was prompted to re-install the missing Alps touchpad driver components. I did and now everything is back to normal. Thought I'd leave this up for anybody else that might have the same problem. :)
