    Toshiba Satellite L500D-11D. Does anyone have anything bad to say about this laptop? Pros and cons? Seems to be excellent value for money.

    I can think of only two cons:

    - no anti-glare
    - no bluetooth

    What do you think?

    Bought one recently.

    Great little machine. The screen is reflective but its not all that bad.
    BT can be fixed with one of those ultra mini usb dongles for like 10 euro's or something like that.

    One small thing I have with this machine is the time it takes for windows vista to start up. I know its not a super fast machine and the harddisk is not that quick.. I would reinstall it from scratch if I where you ( also gets rid of all those toshiba programms you never will use. ) But do reinstall that Tempro program cause it is nice and tells you when you need to update a driver or bios on the laptop :p and it provides you with the correct page :D

    Other than that.. 2 thumbs up for this laptop :D

    Got this about 5 weeks ago, Turion x2, I really like it. I think it starts up quick. I did a few of those "Vista tweeks" from this site and it's been great. For the money it is a nice machine. It was 599.00, 3 days for 499.00, so I got it then.
    I do powerpoint for school, word, internet, play music and burn cd's to work out to....I dont game on a computer, ( I like consoles), anyway, I could have 3 powerpoints, 2 word, media player, internet, mail, and no hitches...
    it's a neat little laptop. Feel free to ask me anthing about it.............
