Hey Folks,
I have an upgrade question for you. I plan on upgrading the following components on my Toshiba Satellite L775D-S7223:
1. Replacing the 500GB 5400RPM OEM HD with == Seagate - Momentus XT 500GB / 7200 RPM Internal Serial ATA Solid State Hybrid Drive for Laptops. I wish I could afford an SSD, but that just isn't in the current picture.
2. Replacing the 4GB OEM RAM with == Crucial 8GB Kit (4GBx2), 204-pin SODIMM, DDR3 PC3-12800 memory module.
Currently, my W.E.I numbers are; RAM 5.9 and HD 5.8. Overall score of 5.3, yeah my CPU is driving my score down. So, the big question is, how much of a performance bump and what W.E.I score changes can I expect to get from these upgrades??
Thanks in advance!

There's is no point in upgrading simply for the sake of boosting your WEI score. Its results should be taken with a grain of salt. As for the actual upgrades, unless you need the extra RAM I'd leave it a 4gb. As for the hard drive, keep what you have, I'd don't see much of a point in upgrading from a 5400rpm drive to a 7200rpm drive of the same capacity. If you need the extra speed of 7200rpm, at least get it in a larger capacity, it shouldn't cost more than an extra $10 at current hard drive prices.
