    Satellite M100 ...configuring added RAM?

    i have a Satellite M100 - PSMAOA-03FOO2 and have ordered and installed a 2GB memory module from Orca logic UK into the empty slot AS INSTRUCTED.

    on re-starting my properties now show this:- [email protected] 2.49GB RAM.
    so my computer recognises the added RAM but the PC speed is still very slow!
    i thought by adding this RAM the speed would be a lot faster?

    am i missing something? is there something more i need to configure?
    what else could i do to make it not as SLOW?
    please help, im really :confused: !!
