I have a Toshiba Satellite M30X. I recently purchased an Apple Ipod photo 30GB. When i plug it into the USB ports on my laptop, it has trouble being detected. The laptop detects the ipod then seems to lose it then will detect it again. It does this over and over. It makes the "bonging" noise over and over. Occassionally a bubble also appears in the task bar telling me the drive can perform faster if it was plugged into a USB 2.0 port, but I have SP2 and all my USB ports should be 2.0. I only get that message when i plug in the ipod. Does anyone know how i could fix this problem. I thought perhaps it was a problem with my USB drivers, but there are no updates for the USB drivers on the Toshiba site. It could be a problem with the ipod...i cant seem to figure this one out.
