Let me start by saying that this is my first laptop and i dont have very extensive knowledge on them. but my notebook was working fine then one day when i turned it on the colors were all messed up. There was red mixed in all the black and where white was suppose to be turquoise green flickers. Do i just need a new video card? or does this have nothing to do with a video card? any information would greatly help me out! thanks!

Toshiba Satellite M35X doesn't have a separate video card; it is integrated into the system board. Try to connect the laptop to an external monitor. If you see the same messed up video on the external monitor, the system board is bad and should be replaced.
If the external video is fine, then most likely the LCD screen is bad. There is also a possibility of a bad video cable or a bad connection. Before you spend any money, try to reseat the video cable on the system board and on the back of the LCD screenLast edited by a moderator: May 7, 2015 -
well....i did that and put it all back together and now when i turn it on it beeps a couple times and nothing appears on the screen....i'm not sure what i did

If you removed the memory, check if you put it back properly. Toshiba Satellite M35X is very simple and it has very few connectors. Check if you reconnected them correctly.
