    Hi to everyone,
I'm a totally newbie and so excuse me in advance if I put stupid questions.

My satellite M40 281 has got some problems (it turns on by itself and the shift keys on the keyboard don't work). It has some little screen damages too. The Toshiba assistence suggested me to change the motherboard and the keyboard. Obviously due to the high price of those spare parts I've got a new notebook. Now I want to try to fix my great old toschiba by myself. But looking for the spare parts I can't find the M40 in any spare parts site. It looks like a M45 but it's different in the video card in particular. I've read that M40 is a particular model sold in Europe and Canada. So what model I have to refer for the spare parts? Where can I find a disassembly guide or a thechnical manual for the correct codes of each part? Whitout this kind of information I can't "hunt" spare parts in the worldwide web or in ebay.

Here the part number :pSM42E-01E00MIT (never found in any spare parts catalogue)

    Here the specs:

    Toshiba Satellite M40 281, Intel centrino M760 (2ghz), 1gb ram, ati x700 video card.

Thank you again, I really need help! :)
    Regards

    Wnot
