Two days ago I started up my Satellite M40 PSM40C-JM800E (as per usual) and after I opened windows media player to play some of my favourite songs, I tried using the media buttons to switch songs, and I noticed that 4 of the 6 buttons no longer worked. (The remaining 2 that did work are the previous track button and the Internet button. The buttons worked fine after the last update and I haven't made any changes to the setup of the laptop.)

Is there any way to fix this? Or will I have to take it to get it repaired?

(Here are the specs, if they help,)
    Intel centrino 1.7 ghz processor
    mobile Intel 915GM/GMS, 910GML Express chip (128mb )
    100gigabyte Fujitsu hard drive
    512mb PC2700 ddr ram
    supermulti DVD drive
    Soundmax Integrated Digital Audio soundcard
