I bought M70 an my problem is sound quality when I use external amplifier.
Sound loudness (signal is weak) is very weak when connect my laptop from headphonejacket to my amplifier AUX. So I have to use very big volume level in my amplifier. The sound is also crackling when I use external power supply and externel amplifier with external speakers connected to my laptop. With battery (without power supply) the sound is perfect.

Is this normal for Toshiba Satellite? Local service provider says that my laptop is ok (it's normal). I should have line out on my laptop to get perfect sound with my amplifier.

This isn't normal in any notebook - how's the internal speaker quality? Is it O.K.?

I'd first try updating the sound drivers and see if that does anything. If the problem persists, it's hardware related and I'd take it in for servicing.

I find with my P-30 the sound output is a lot weaker than my old satellite 5000, though it sounds just as good if not better.
