    Hi All,

i recently upgraded the bios on my toshiba laptop i lost power, when i went
to re-strart it, the monitor stayed black, the only thing that works
now is the fan, i dont think a recovery disc will work, does this mean i will need to replace the Motherboard???

I suggest you contact Toshiba support. It may be possible for a specialist to replace the BIOS, but if it is fixed on the board then a dead BIOS means a board replacement. :(

How does it lose power? o_O
I mean its got a battery right? Even if the AC Went out it should still have been running. Or...did you run the BIOS upgrade when the battery was low and it wasnt plugged im

Didn't read the warning instructions did you?
Only way to get it fixed is to call Toshiba and tell them the situation
