OK, My Satellite M115 says it has an ExpressCard-54 slot. I bought an eSATA ExpressCard/PCMCIA card for my external hard drive, but I am having trouble inserting the card into the laptop's Card slot.
It fits in and just before the point where it should make connection and 'click', it stops, as if by obstruction. Any thoughts?

the top card is the ExpressCard 54, which is the type of my add-on card. And it is also the type that my Satellite is listed as having.

    Thanks!

My friend, I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but the m115-s3094 has a PC card slot, not an Expresscard slot. This means your card won't work, as the two are not compatible. I did find an adapter, it says it's for using expresscard wi-fi in a PCMCIA slot, but maybe it'll work for this. BUT, you'll take a HUGE hit in throughput if you get the adapter. If your HD also has a USB2.0 port, use it, it's probably your best choice. I have the same computer man, kinda sucks.... link to the adapter in case you're interested:

damnit! every bit of documentation on the M115-S3094 on Toshiba's and retailer's website say "ExpressCard-54" slot!
    This is down-right dirty!

Hopefully NewEgg will let me exchange it.

I usually use the USB connection on the drive, but when I saw how fast it transfers through eSATA on my desktop computer, I had to buy this (after false-verifying that my notebook could take an expresscard).

Thank you for the replies, everyone.

EDIT***I checked the specs, again, on Toshiba's Support section for my model, and sure enough, I was delusional the other day when ordering the ExpressCard.
